the UC organization, you'll support the development and management
of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform,
and Productivity Apps services in AWS. Within AWS UC, Amazon
Dedicated Cloud (ADC) roles engage with AWS customers who require
specialized security solutions for their cloud services. Region
Services Corporate Infrastructure (RSCI) is looking for an
experienced Windows Client Systems Engineer with a deep knowledge
of Windows desktop services, including virtual desktops and
infrastructure. Our mission is to deliver robust, highly available,
and easy to use services to our internal customers in support of
the Amazon Dedicated Cloud for U.S. Government customers. We are
looking for a motivated Senior Engineer to deliver results for our
customers. This is a hands-on position where your daily role will
maintain and enhance existing services, including Windows build /
deployment capabilities, fulfilling requests for application
packaging / deployment and break / fix scenarios for all
technologies the team manages. This role will work closely with the
Security Compliance team to ensure security compliance with all
desktop environments. You will have a strong and diverse technical
background that allows you to approach problems with confidence and

continue to improve our products. A successful Windows Client
Engineer will drive the design and implementation of new services,
find ways to improve and automate our existing services, and
provide escalation and mentoring for junior team members. If

selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI
security clearance with polygraph. The position further requires
the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each
government agency for which they perform AWS work. 10012 Key job
responsibilities
This role oversees deployment, configuration, and management of
core ADC services, including directory services, file and print,
DNS/DHCP, application servers and management of server hardware and
infrastructure. In the first six to twelve months you will: - Adapt
and improve operations management systems and processes to
accommodate rapid and increasing growth in systems and traffic
- Drive expedient resolution and root cause analysis for critical
issues affecting your services
- Mentor and develop a team of Operational Engineers with an
emphasis on providing dial tone services
- Bring continuous improvement to operational processes
- Balance raw up-front dollar cost with usability, operability and
TCO, both in datacenters and on-site services
- Lead the development and delivery of state of the art system
health monitoring, diagnostics, repair, and other self-healing
automation
- Develop automation tools and processes that reduce manual effort
and increase overall efficiency
- Innovate and drive improvements in monitoring and visualization
of system health, status of maintenance tasks, and reporting

This is a hands-on position where your daily role will maintain and

Drive the design and implementation of new services, find ways to

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Associate's degree, or Cloud+ or GICSP
(Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC
Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified
Practitioner)
- Eight (8+) years supporting Windows family of operating systems
to include four (4) of the following eight (8) core competencies:
AD, DHCP, PowerShell, Email workflow, SCCM, SCOM, Win OS, DNS, and
disaster recovery/business continuity
- 3+ years' experience in automation / scripting in the Windows
environment using PowerShell
- Defined Knowledge of networking basic skills and
troubleshooting
- Experience automating tasks such as, software packaging and
deployment, automated security patching, and Operating System
Deployment.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with
Polygraph
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Master's Degree in Engineering,
Information Technology or related technical discipline
- Ten (10+) years supporting Windows family of operating
systems
- Current Cloud+ or GICSP or GSEC or SSCP certification
- Strong experience in at least two of the following areas:
- Multi-Factor Authentication in an Active Directory
environment
- Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)
- Privileged Access Management (PAM)
- Just-In-Time (JIT) & Just-Enough-Administration (JEA)
- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) including infrastructure
management, backend storage, disaster recovery
- Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for

$139,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $226,800/year
