Harrisonburg, VA Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Industrial
Engineer to join a growing manufacturing operation. This role is
responsible for setting up and optimizing new equipment in our
facility, ensuring processes are efficient, safe, and scalable. The
ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in
industrial engineering practices within a production environment.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the installation, commissioning, and
startup of new manufacturing equipment. Analyze workflow,
production processes, and layout to optimize efficiency and
minimize waste. Develop and implement standard operating
procedures, work instructions, and best practices. Conduct time
studies, capacity analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production,
maintenance, and quality, to ensure seamless operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve process or equipment issues to maintain
production goals. Utilize lean manufacturing and continuous
improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence. Provide
data-driven recommendations to improve production flow, safety, and
cost-effectiveness. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial
Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Proven
experience in manufacturing or production environments, preferably
with new equipment installation or plant startup. Strong analytical
and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with lean manufacturing,
Six Sigma, or other process improvement frameworks. Excellent
communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work first shift
and be hands-on on the production floor as needed. INDQT
