environment. ERG is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician to support
the inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler
systems at client facilities. This role is critical to ensuring
life safety, regulatory compliance, and system reliability across
assigned sites. This full-time position is at the Naval Support
Facility (NSF) Indian Head. Indian Head, Maryland, is approximately
30 miles from Washington, D.C.; 25 miles from Alexandria, Virginia;
and 60 miles from Fredericksburg, Virginia. Job Description:
Inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire sprinkler systems in
accordance with NFPA standards, applicable codes, and client
requirements Perform routine and corrective maintenance on wet,
dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems Identify
deficiencies, troubleshoot system issues, and recommend corrective
actions Accurately document inspection results, deficiencies, and
completed work Coordinate with project managers, site personnel,
and inspectors as needed Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory
to ensure they are in safe working condition Comply with all safety
policies, procedures, and site-specific requirements This position
will require a pre-employment physical exam This position requires
lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds Work may be performed in
areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are
present (e.g., fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing
radiation and chemicals) You may be required to participate in
medical surveillance programs Required Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent years of experience NICET Level I
certification 2 years of experience inspecting, installing, or
maintaining fire sprinkler systems Ability to safely install or
modify various types of sprinkler piping apparatus such as copper,
black iron and galvanized steel Knowledge of applicable NFPA codes
(e.g., NFPA 13, 25) Ability to read and interpret system drawings,
plans, and technical documentation Strong attention to detail and
commitment to safety and quality Must be able to stand, walk, push,
pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts Must be able to use
carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items Must be
able to go up and down stairs, where applicable Must currently hold
or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security
clearance Must be a U.S. citizen, as this position is not eligible
for Limited Access Authorizations Preferred Qualifications and
Skills: NICET Level II and III certifications State or local fire
sprinkler technician license Experience working in industrial,
federal, or secured facilities Navy or Department of Defense
experience is strongly preferred ERG offers competitive salaries
