This role is part of the Operations team tasked with supporting Clinical and Commercial production across multiple sites.The Senior Director, Business Systems (Cell Therapy) will lead the strategic planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of business systems supporting Cell Therapy operations across R&D, clinical, manufacturing, supply chain, regulatory, and commercialization functions. You will partner cross-functionally with key stakeholders to align digital and system capabilities with the unique and evolving needs of the cell therapy business. The position is based in Gaithersburg, MD, reporting to the Head of Cell Therapy Global Supply Chain.Responsibilities include:

• Business System Vision: Acting as a thought partner to senior leadership on digital transformation strategies and system investments.
• Customer Experience and Cell Orchestration Enhancement: Designing and implementing strategies to expand core functionality and improve the customer experience on the cell orchestration digital platform.
• Digital and Data Strategy and Roadmap: Developing and executing a business systems roadmap aligned with Cell Therapy's growth, from foundational to advanced capabilities.
• Project Leadership: Leading the selection, implementation, and optimization of key platforms such as SAP ERP, LIMS, MES, and Advanced Planning systems.
• Requirements Definition: Defining business process requirements for implementing systems across the cell therapy value chain.
• AI Integration: Collaborating with business units to identify use cases and deploying AI technologies to optimize processes.
• Change Management and Governance: Ensuring system delivery with proper validation, compliance, and user adoption, and developing governance processes.
• Team Leadership: Building and leading a high-performing team and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.Qualifications include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 14 years of experience in IT or business systems leadership within biotech/pharma.
  • Experience with end-to-end supply, manufacturing, and quality processes in cell therapy.
  • Experience applying AI to improve processes.
  • Proven experience as a business lead for enterprise system implementations including SAP, cell orchestration systems, Advanced Planning, MES, and LIMS.
  • Experience in scaling systems in high-growth, complex organizations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory expectations related to digital systems.#CellTherapy #LI-hybridThe annual base pay ranges from $174,756 to $262,134, with additional incentives and benefits.
