Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/07/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Registered Nurse- Medical/Surgical (MS) Location: Washington, DC, 20032 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Schedule:12-Hour Night Shifts (3x12s per week) Weekly Breakdown: Weekly Gross:$2,106.00Per Week On W2(Taxable):$720.00Per Week Stipend(Non-Taxable):$1,386.00 Per Week Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Med/Surg unit provides direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. This includes initial patient assessments, planning and implementing care, and evaluating patient outcomes. The RN ensures care is delivered in a competent, caring, and efficient manner consistent with licensure, standards of practice, and facility policy. Key Responsibilities: Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, including system reviews and telemetry rhythm interpretation. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs. Deliver age-appropriate, patient-centered nursing care. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate. Administer medications and treatments according to facility protocols Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health record (Cerner). Respond to patient and family concerns with professionalism and compassion. Comply with all safety and regulatory standards.
