Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: - Minimum of 50 miles away from the facility - Cerner Experience Required Description: The position involves working primarily with females of childbearing years. You will care for pregnant individuals at various stages, including those who are 17 weeks gestation. You will also manage laboring patients and assist with scheduled procedures such as C-sections and external cephalic versions. Triage issues will be part of your responsibilities. Activities on the unit include admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries (both vaginal and C-section). Common equipment used in Labor and Delivery includes fetal monitors, Cerner, and Fetalink documentation. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
