Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in patient rehabilitation
and home-based care services, is seeking a Quality & Risk Director
to enhance our service quality and minimize risks across our
network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, home health
agencies, and hospice agencies. This critical role will ensure
compliance with healthcare industry standards, oversee the
development and implementation of quality improvement programs, and
strategically manage risk to improve patient outcomes and maintain
regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a deep
understanding of healthcare regulations, a proven track record in
quality improvement, and the ability to lead a team effectively in
a dynamic environment. Develop and implement comprehensive quality
and risk management strategies across all facilities. Monitor and
ensure compliance with local, state, and federal healthcare
regulations. Lead internal audits and coordinate with external
health audits to ensure readiness and compliance. Manage the
training and development of staff on quality assurance and risk
prevention best practices. Analyze patient care incidents,
determining root causes, and implement preventive measures.
Collaborate with other department leaders to integrate quality
management with overall business objectives. Report directly to
senior management on risk assessments, quality metrics, and
improvement initiatives. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations
and accrediting body standards Experience in risk management and
quality improvement within a healthcare context Ability to handle
multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail
Exceptional leadership and communication skills Proficient in data
analysis and statistical tools Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance 401k Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality
(CPHQ) Certified Risk Manager (CRM) credentials preferred but not
required.
