apply today! Requirements: Responsibilities: Perform order entry
tasks and related activities to support the medication dispensing
process. Enter new and refill orders accurately and promptly based
on assigned priorities. Complete all data fields according to
pharmacy procedures, including the use of approved abbreviations,
dosage, and day supply calculations. Ensure compliance with all
state and federal guidelines regarding medication labeling. Assist
customers and patients in a courteous and professional manner.
Cross-train in all areas of the Pharmacy department. Consult with
dispensing pharmacists regarding prescription order clarification,
entry problems, or concerns. Follow all applicable government
regulations, including HIPAA. Perform other duties as assigned; job
duties may vary depending on business needs. Requirements: Minimum
Qualifications: Licensed/Registered pharmacy technician as required
by Maryland state law. High School diploma or equivalent. Previous
pharmacy experience is required (one year in a retail pharmacy
preferred). Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and be flexible.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of
medical terminology (including sig codes and Roman numerals), brand
and generic names of medications, and general pharmacy terminology.
Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently when inputting
information. Ability to maintain composure on the phone when
handling customer calls. Ability to provide excellent customer
service. Basic math and analytical skills. Intermediate
typing/keyboarding skills. Ability to read, write, speak, and
understand the English language. Must be able to work various
nights and weekends as required. You must be fully vaccinated and
provide proof of vaccination at the time of the interview.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience using PioneerRX. Experience
using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must be able to sit
and/or stand for 7-10 hours a day and lift up to 25 lbs. Must have
excellent customer service skills and enjoy working with the
