Job Description Emergency Medicine opening in MinnesotaAlexandria, MNPhysician – Night ShiftIntegrated Health System | Full-Time Benefits EligiblePosition Overview• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM• Typically 10–11 shifts per month• Full-time benefit status• Responsible for serving as the primary portal of entry for patients and services• Diagnose and treat patients by evaluating presenting signs and symptomsEssential Responsibilities• Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and self• Provide professional medical services and independent clinical judgment• Order and prescribe appropriate treatments, diagnostic testing, and nursing care• Prescribe medically appropriate pharmaceuticals• Educate and counsel patients and families• Refer patients to specialists and coordinate multidisciplinary care as needed• Document care in the electronic medical record in a timely manner• Assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes• Collaborate in the education of medical professionals• Adhere to medical ethics and professional standardsAdditional Expectations• Demonstrate proficiency with relevant medical equipment• Support the organization’s mission, vision, and values• Maintain schedule flexibility as departmental needs require• Foster respectful relationships with colleagues, patients, families, and the communityRequired Qualifications• Medical degree from an accredited institution• Board Certified or Board Eligible (must obtain certification within 2 years)• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Minnesota• ABEM or ABOEM board certification preferred• Will consider Family Medicine physicians with Emergency Medicine experience• ACLS/ATLS/PALS not required if Board Certified in Emergency MedicineBenefits• Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance• Employee Health Clinic providing office visits and prescriptions at little to no cost for covered employees and dependents• Retirement savings planThis opportunity offers a manageable night schedule with comprehensive benefits and the ability to practice in a supportive, mission-driven healthcare environment.
