Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours - Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR) Location: Washington, DC Local Radius Rule: Must live 50 miles away from the facility Schedule: 5×8-hour shifts | Monday–Friday | Days Requirements - PALS – Required - BLS – Required - ACLS – Required - Active RN license (Washington, DC or compact eligible) – Required - Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience – Required - Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program – Required - BSN – Highly preferred Job Responsibilities The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care during surgical procedures. Duties include: - Perform scrub and/or circulating roles for operative procedures - Prepare and maintain the operating suite using proper aseptic and sterile techniques - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care - Collaborate and coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical team members - Serve as a communication liaison for patients, families, and care team - Prepare equipment, instruments, and supplies for procedures - Ensure all equipment is functional and implants/supplies are available - Support safe patient positioning and documentation throughout procedures Ideal Candidate - Strong OR clinical skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment - Excellent teamwork and communication - Detail-oriented with a strong focus on patient safety HonorVet Technologies Job ID 31871257.
