Job Description:

MedStar Health is seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist to join our night shift team, providing critical pharmacy services in a dynamic hospital environment. Focused on delivering optimal patient outcomes, the Clinical Pharmacist will be essential in the direct handling of medication management, advising on best practices, and supporting patient care with specialized knowledge. Manage and oversee the medication therapy of patients Provide drug information and recommendations to medical staff Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, and other complications Supervise and verify the accuracy of all work performed by pharmacy technicians Counsel patients on medication use and proper administration during the night hours Ensure compliance with health laws and regulations regarding drug handling and processing In-depth knowledge of drug administration and health regulations Ability to monitor and assess patient health related to medication Strong communication skills for interacting with healthcare professionals Attention to detail in dispensing and documenting medications Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current licensure as a Pharmacist in the state of practice Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) preferred
