Job Description:
CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an Employee-Owned Management Consulting
and Digital Transformation company, is seeking a Modeling and
Simulation Systems Administrator Global Command & Control System -
Joint (GCCS J). System Administrator GCCS J must possess strong
problem-solving, analytical and communication skills, and in-depth
technical knowledge of the Government's systems' hardware and
software. Systems Administrator (GCCS) studies program operating
instructions to determine equipment setup and operations.
Continuously observes the operation of assigned applications and
storage devices to monitor system operation and determines the
point of hardware or software failure. Manipulates systems in
accordance with standard procedures to continue operations when
individual units of a system malfunction. Systems Administrators
(GCCS) confers with software systems engineering or applications
programming personnel in the event errors require a change of
instructions or sequences of operations. The Systems Administrators
(GCCS) maintains operating records such as machine performance and
production reports. Responsible for ensuring system availability
and reliability of the GCCS-J and related GCCS Family of Systems
(FoS) on the networks
The job is to provide support to the United States Marine Corps
MAGTF Staff Training Program (MSTP) which provides training in
MAGTF across the range of military operations, within the context
of a Joint and/or Combined Task Force environment, to improve the
warfighting skills, with the main effort of providing training and
support.
Tasks include:
Installing operating system software, patches, and upgrades.
Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving system hardware,
software, and networking issues.
Configuring, optimizing, fine-tuning, and monitoring operating
system software and hardware
Performing system backups and recovery.
Conducting server builds.
Establishes complex operational databases, software configuration
control and system interfaces for computer systems related to
customer Global Command and Control Systems
Maintains file servers, network access; documents, analyzes, and
troubleshoots systems anomalies to ensure optimum equipment
performance.

Secret Clearance
Related planning experience (Joint Operations Planning Process and
the Marine Corps Planning Process), appropriate for each function,
at the Marine Division, Wing, or MLG staff
Experience conducting tactical and operational level planning at
the conceptual, functional, and detailed levels for service and
functional component organizations, as well as joint headquarters
organizations
Knowledge of, and operational experience, deploying and employing
ground combat, aviation, supporting arms, and combat service
support units and related equipment
Knowledge of, and operational experience, with military doctrine,
tactics, and command relationships at the operational command
level
Performing civil affairs/civil military operations staff functions
on a general officer staff
Proficiency using MS Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook skills.
Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, communication and
presentation skills.
Ability to work both individually and in a collaborative team
environment
Ability to multitask and meet competing deadlines.

GCCS-J Unix System Administrator
Experience with GCCS Family of Systems (FOS)
SEC+
Red Hat Systems Administrator OR
Linux Professional Institute Linux Essentials
Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, communication and
presentation skills
Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe
Must be able to travel CONUS and OCONUS (Camp Pendleton, CA; Camp
Lejeune, NC; Camp Courtney, Okinawa, Japan.
Preferred Skills:
Top Secret Clearance
A minimum of 2-4 years of related experience
Possess a thorough understanding of all aspects of Operations and
technologies
Abreast of industry developments and applicable Government
regulations
Make recommendations for enhancing services
Research operational issues and provides mitigation
recommendations
Strong oral and written communications, analytical, and
problem-solving skills, as well as excellent judgement and
self-motivation
Works independently with little to no supervision researching new
technologies or comparing technologies to meet the customers need
while providing an unbiased opinion
Working knowledge of network and information exchange technologies
(e.g., TCP/IP, RESTful, SOAP and HTTP)
A minimum of three years of experience in ground maneuver as it
pertains to MAGTF operations.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school by a national or
regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of
Education or substantial relevant experience for education.
