Job Description Manager, Risk Management (ES Risk) Capital One

a Risk Manager, you will apply your risk management and project
management skills to collaborate with our Regulatory Risk and
Governance team and International Talent Expansion team to create
and lead an end-to-end project management, program delivery, and
reporting function to drive insights through data to ensure the
health of our processes. Our portfolio of work includes diverse and
impactful value-driven work, including: 1) The Regulatory Risk and
Governance team assesses and implements new and updated laws and
regulations that affect Enterprise Services (ES) to ensure
compliance of business processes and controls with new laws and
regulations; and 2) The International Talent Expansion team
executes on high priority enterprise-level technology/cyber
initiatives related to our international expansion to identify
business and technology risks to help ensure our Company remains
well-managed while operating within our risk appetite. You will be
responsible for developing a strategic roadmap to enhance reporting
to create efficiencies in processes and drive clarity into
performance metrics. The ideal candidate will learn the end to end
processes, identify opportunities for automation, be forward
thinking, quick to adapt, and technologically adept. Managers have
a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the
opportunity to work with executives to create and implement
innovative solutions to appropriately manage risks within
Enterprise Services. The ideal candidate will be a highly-motivated
risk expert with excellent communication skills. The candidate will
be detail-oriented and results focused, and will have a proven
record of problem solving and collaborating with others.
Responsibilities: - Drive project and program delivery, including
project and process management, reporting, facilitation of senior
leadership meetings, drafting and reviewing materials for senior
management, and other governance activities. - Develop a Reporting
Strategy and drive the strategy to completion while applying
automation where possible - Drive efficiency in the end-to-end
lifecycle management of regulatory risk and governance and
International Talent Expansion along with ensuring adherence to
second line standards through the use of data to develop insightful
metrics - Build and manage automated reporting focused on
Objectives & Key Results and Key Performance Indicators
highlighting risk topics for management including opportunities for
automation - Build metrics around data quality and periodically
monitor to ensure data is complete and accurate in the system of
record - Partner with the Enterprise Services Risk Analytics team
to identify and implement automated solutions to enable proactive
risk management - Support development of content in response to
Internal Audit and Regulatory agencies as necessary Basic
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree or military experience - At
least 4 years of risk management, compliance, regulatory, audit, or
legal experience - At least 4 years of experience supporting,
partnering, and interacting with internal business clients - At
least 4 years of project or program management experience - At
least 2 years of experience developing, evaluating, and
implementing information security or technology controls - At least
2 years of experience with information security, technology
practices, standards or procedures Preferred Qualifications: - At
least 6 years of risk management, compliance, regulatory, audit, or
legal experience - At least 5 years of project management
experience leading cross functional projects and programs -
Background in the financial services industry - Project Management
Professional (PMP), Masters Certificate of Project Management
(CPM), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified
Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and/or Certified
Information Security Manager (CISM) - Strong verbal presentation
and written communication skills to confidently interact at all
levels of the organization (e.g., technology/cyber organizations,
enterprise business stakeholders, and executive leadership) -
Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
to effectively respond to shifting priorities, demands and
timelines - Experience with applying automation in risk management
- Ability to set direction, manage expectations, and lead
cross-functional teams - Consulting experience with a Big 4 firm -
Familiarity with financial sector regulatory practices and three
lines of defense - Proficient with G Suite, Google Workspace for
reports, analysis, and presentations is a plus At this time,

annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please
note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to
perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the
amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed
upon number of hours to be regularly worked. McLean, VA: $158,400 -
$180,800 for Manager, Cyber Risk & Analysis Richmond, VA: $144,000
- $164,400 for Manager, Cyber Risk & Analysis New York, NY:
$172,800 - $197,200 for Manager, Cyber Risk & Analysis Candidates
hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range
associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary
amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be
reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also
eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which
may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on
