This is a permanent position, ideal for an individual who is passionate about civil rights and is an expert in handling cases related to race discrimination, sexual discrimination, and disability discrimination. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the legal industry, with a proven track record of managing complex litigation cases from inception through trial. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile cases and make a significant impact on the lives of those who have faced discrimination. Responsibilities: 1. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute lawsuits on matters of civil rights, particularly focusing on race, sex, and disability discrimination cases. 2. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis of pertinent case laws, regulations, and legal articles to prepare for case proceedings. 3. Draft and review legal briefs, motions, pleadings, and discovery documents. 4. Develop litigation strategies, negotiate settlements, and advocate for clients' best interests during trials. 5. Provide legal advice to clients, keeping them informed of their case's progress, and make recommendations on the best course of action. 6. Maintain the highest level of professional conduct and ethics in all interactions with clients, court personnel, and other attorneys. 7. Stay updated with the latest legal developments and court decisions relevant to civil rights and discrimination laws. Qualifications: 1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school. 2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Civil Litigation Attorney, with a focus on race discrimination, sexual discrimination, and disability discrimination cases. 3. Membership in good standing with the state bar. 4. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds. 5. Strong litigation skills, including experience with trials, depositions, and mediations. 6. Excellent research, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. 7. Proficiency in using legal research software and other legal technologies. 8. Demonstrated commitment to civil rights and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. 9. Proven ability to manage a large caseload, work independently, and meet deadlines under pressure. 10.
