Job Description:

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Firewall Systems Engineer to join a long-term DoD project based out of Quantico, VA. The Firewall Systems Engineer will join a team focused on enterprise network and firewall engineering.

Responsibilities of the Firewall Systems Engineer include:
---Design, integrate, and manage complex large-scale computer networks, encompassing LAN, BAN, and WAN configurations.
---Provide expert-level support for various types of firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, Cisco) to ensure network security and integrity.
---Implement and maintain network routing protocols and security mechanisms for efficient data transmission and protection.
---Develop and integrate identity and access management solutions, including two-factor authentication using public key infrastructure (PKI) certificates and Active Directory (AD) domain accounts.
---Perform regular monitoring, capacity and demand management, traffic analysis, and traffic shaping to optimize network performance and enhance overall efficiency.

Qualifications for the Firewall Systems Engineer include:
---10+ years of experience in IT
---Bachelor's degree preferred
---IAT level III Certification (CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, or CCSP)
---Active Secret Clearance or higher required

Compensation for the Firewall Systems Engineer include:
---Salary Range: $125,000 - $145,000 depending on experience
