Salary Range: $34-$38/Hour + $2,500 Sign-on Bonus!

Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems is the region's leading second-stage manufacturer of heavy equipment. We are looking for an experienced mechanic who is passionate about welding and body repair! If this sounds like you, our Welder/Mechanic position is the role you have been waiting for.

As a Welder/Mechanic, you will:

• Make sure equipment is well-maintained and safe for our customers.
• Use Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems torches and welders to make repairs to trucks.
• Complete various repairs to trucks using your fabrication, welding, and hydraulic skills.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a thorough and timely manner.
• Partner with the service manager to learn new skills using Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Other duties are assigned as needed. Qualifications:
  • Possesses working mechanical knowledge, including the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
  • 2 years experience with hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, and hoses.
  • 2 years' MIG welding experience.
  • 2 years' automotive electrical experience.
  • 2 years experience repairing roll-off or garbage trucks.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must pass a DOT physical including drug screening.
  • Must have own tools. Why Mid-Atlantic?
