Job Description:
CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an Employee-Owned Management Consulting
and Digital Transformation company, is seeking a Modeling and
Simulation Analyst to collaborate with a team of analysts in the
research, creation, modeling, and analysis of military systems to
quantify the performance and impact of operational concepts and
tactics. Utilizes knowledge of model-based system engineering
(MBSE) to perform analysis to support requirements definition,
mission effectiveness, system evaluation, and military utility
assessment for a broad spectrum of missions including combat air,
intelligence-surveillance-reconnaissance, and air mobility. The job
is to provide support to the United States Marine Corps MAGTF Staff
Training Program (MSTP) which provides training in MAGTF across the
range of military operations, within the context of a Joint and/or
Combined Task Force environment, to improve the warfighting skills,
with the main effort of providing training and support.
Tasks include:
Create (new) and or modify (existing) and install databases for the
C2 and Simulation systems for MSTP exercises, training events,
wargames.
Continuous proficiency installing, configuring, operating,
troubleshooting, and maintaining the virtual and constructive
simulation systems used most by MSTP: MAGTF Tactical Warfare
Simulation System (MTWS), Joint Deployment Logistics Model (JDLM),
and Air, Space and Cyberspace Constructive Environment -
Information Operations Suite (ACE-IOS) as part of the JLVC
Federation
Capable of installing, configuring, operating, troubleshooting, and
maintaining other virtual and constructive simulation systems that
are used less commonly by MSTP, or used by MSTP to enhance
exercises such as: Joint Low Overhead Driver (JLOD), Joint Land
Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC), Low, Overhead
Training Simulation (LOTS), Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF), Air
Warfare Simulation (AWSIM), Warfighter Simulation (WARSIM),
etc.
Install and configure software version updates, system
configuration changes or other updates needed to maintain
concurrency between the training unit's C2 systems and MSTP.
Install patches and updates to C2 and simulation systems, ensuring
compliance with password, other system security measures, and
cybersecurity policy and orders.
Make recommendations to exercise designers on the appropriate
simulation(s)/simulation architecture(s) necessary to achieve
exercise objectives and training goals.
Prepare written simulation control plans for all MSTP
exercises/training events/wargames.
Provide functional area expertise (Maneuver, Fires (Ground/Air),
Intelligence, Logistics, Command & Control, and Force Protection)
Instructor Controllers (ICs).
Become familiar with the training audience's OPORD to facilitate
response cell operations.
Participate in structured orders development and rehearsals to
ensure an accurate representation of the training audience's
operations in simulation models.
Use the functional knowledge of MCPP and MAGTF doctrine to ensure
the information in the model is an accurate representation of the
training audience's requirements to fulfill the training
objectives.
Establish simulation federations and databases to accurately
represent all forces and interactions.
Conduct operational testing and testing to evaluate simulation
database and parametric data (weapons, equipment, personnel, and
complex asset performance within the simulation), including the
ADFOR, and ensure that models are accurate representations of
forces for exercises, training events, and wargames.
Provide training to the Subordinate Unit Response Cells (SURCs) on
modeling and simulation procedures and workarounds monitoring
adherence to these procedures.
Maintain the simulation networks and architecture to ensure all
nodes are properly stimulating the training audience in compliance
with exercise plans and the Simulation Control Plan.
Recommend simulation event adjudications and mitigation actions to
resolve simulation or event discrepancies during MSTP exercises,
training events, and wargames.
Submit comments on exercise issues and their recommended
corrections for inclusion into the M&S after action report
(AAR).
Supporting capability document development and analysis
Required Skills
U.S. Citizen
Security clearance with an adjudicated clearance and access up to
TS/SCI security clearance.
Capable of providing support for federating constructive
simulations using the MAGTF Tactical Warfare Simulation (MTWS),
Joint Live Virtual Constructive (JLVC), Joint Semi-Automated Forces
(JSAF), Joint Deployment Logistics Model (JDLM), and Air, Space and
Cyberspace Constructive Environment - Information Operations Suite
(ACE-IOS).
Ability to provide operational knowledge of multiple simulations
and federations constructing Parametric Data, Order of Battle
(OOB), Equipment Density List (EDL), and Table of Organization (TO)
that replicate functional capabilities across Warfighting function
and span the levels of war.
Proficient in the use and operation of the C2 and simulation
systems
Certifications in Linux, A+, Network+, VM Ware, and Security+.
Exceptional verbal and written communication and organization
skills
Proficiency in MS Office products
